This is my newly designed cyclone separator specifically designed for small dust collectors in the 500 to 900 cfm range. It will, however, work fine with larger dust collectors by just using one of the two 4 inch inlets on those units. The top discharge is 4 inches and not crimped like my other cyclones. This allows some smaller fan motors to slip directly into the top pipe for an immediate tower system. If you want to run a hose to the top discharge on this cyclone for use with a dust collector fan motor not located on top, but just as a dust collector, I also include an adapter to connect your flexible hose from the cyclone to the dust collector. As you can see by the photo I do not even have a filter mounted on the fan motor yet and when planing boards there is no visible discharge coming out at all. You will also notice that the inlet on this unit is on the left so it matches the rotation of the fan motor. This is necessary when building a cyclone tower where the fan assembly is so close to the cyclone. In the photos I show different fan motors with different rotations and the appropriate cyclone to be used with each. Note: When ordering from this listing your cyclone will come with the inlet on the RIGHT HAND SIDE. The dimensions on this cyclone are: overall height 32″, overall diameter 12″, 3 3/4 ” outlet on bottom, flange is 6″ with five 1/4 holes in flange, Inlet on side and discharge on top are both 4 inches.
